The Mazda 6 Key Fob

Keyless Entry

Key Fob
The key fob is a tiny device that controls your car's security system. It emits radio waves that are detected by an inside reader. Push the auxiliary button on the backside of the Mazda key fob, and then pull out the metal auxiliary keys. Use your screwdriver and gently open the case, starting with the first side. Once the case is opened, you are able to remove the metal auxiliary key and then the battery cover.
Replace the battery. Be careful not to damage its rubber ring. Return the auxiliary keys and then the cap for the battery made of plastic, and put the case back together until you hear it click.
Remote Start
Mazda Advanced keyless entry is a system that lets you control remote locking, unlocking, and starting functions with your key fob. Certain Mazda models include a three-year free trial of Mazda Connected Services which allows you to remotely lock, unlock and start your vehicle using an app on your smartphone and set the cabin temperature, find your car and more.
You can purchase an optional long-range RF kit to your Mazda 6 key fob to enable it to start your vehicle from further distances. This requires a mobile device with service and the appropriate applications.
If the KEY warning (red) light is illuminated or if the start button (amber) light flashes it could indicate that the engine can't start using the normal starting method. (For vehicles equipped with a Type A instrument cluster (Search), the instrument cluster displays messages). Make sure your vehicle is inspected by an Authorized Mazda Repairer as soon as possible.
Keep your key fobs in good condition and lubricated to prevent rusting. Rotate mazda 3 car keys so that neither one gets more wear than the others, and replace your battery every year or as needed. Security System

Despite being a sizable sedan, the Mazda6 offers impressive passenger comfort. It offers plenty of headroom and legroom for all five passengers, and the seats are also very comfortable. The suspension absorbs the majority of bumps and there is very little sound or vibration inside the interior.
